Make it easy to understand your business
What should a builder’s website include?
A homeowner considering an extension needs different information from someone planning a loft conversion. A useful building website separates those services, shows relevant completed work, explains where you work and makes the next step clear.
1. Service pages with useful detail
Explain the work you actually offer, such as loft conversions, house extensions, renovations or new builds. Include the kinds of projects you take on and what a customer needs to do first. Give a separate page to a service only when there is enough useful information for it.
2. Completed projects with context
Pair approved photographs with a short explanation of the work: the project type, general area, what changed and any practical constraints. Three clearly explained projects can be more useful than a large gallery with no context. Use genuine work, and obtain permission before publishing customer details or photographs.
3. Accurate areas, credentials and reviews
State the areas you genuinely serve. Include current insurance, membership and qualification details only where they apply. Use customer feedback with permission and link to its original source where possible. Keep claims about your company accurate and easy to check.
4. A clear way to request a quote
Ask for enough information to understand the job, without making the first enquiry difficult: contact details, project type, approximate area and a short description. A visible phone or WhatsApp option helps people who prefer to speak first.

Before you start
A practical brief for a building website.
You do not need to write the pages yourself. Gather your service list, the areas you cover, your contact details and a selection of photographs you are allowed to use. For each project, add a few notes about the type of work and what you completed.
For example, a loft-conversion and extension business could use pages for its home, core services, selected projects, business background, service areas, process and contact details. We agree the useful page structure from your brief. Ten pages is a maximum, not a reason to add filler or duplicate town pages.
Will this bring me to the top of Google or into AI answers?
The package includes search foundations. Rankings and AI citations are not guaranteed, and ongoing SEO is separate. Google needs to discover, crawl and assess a site; useful information, genuine work and a trustworthy business presence matter beyond the initial build.
Do I need a monthly subscription?
No monthly care plan is added to a website purchase. Standard static hosting is included for 12 months, with an optional £60 annual renewal. Your source files are included if you later choose another compatible host.
Can I ask a question before paying?
Yes. If you need an online store, customer logins, a visual editor or another feature beyond the stated scope, use the online fit check before ordering. You can also ask Fluent State on WhatsApp.
